Box Score The men's tennis team defeated the College of Staten Island, 5-4, on Wednesday afternoon at the Wayne Indoor Tennis Club in Wayne, NJ. The Bloodhounds improve to 4-9 overall and 4-3 in the conference. The Dolphins drop to 5-7 and 3-3 in CUNYAC.
John Jay led 2-1 after doubles play. At number one, the duo of senior
Richard Mills and sophomore
Oscar Wu came out with an 8-1 victory. In the third spot, junior
Carlos Negron and sophomore
Jowel Ahmed won, 6-1 after CSI's tandem retired.
In singles, Mills was victorious at the top spot, 6-3, 7-5. J. Ahmed and junior
Luis Gonzalez cruised to 6-3, 6-4 wins at the fifth and sixth spots, respectively.
