Women's Swim Falls in Season Opener to Hunter; Heitz & Wong Record Two First-Place Finishes Each

RESULTS

The women's swimming team lost to Hunter College in the season opener, 57-37, on Thursday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Hawks improve to 2-0.

The Bloodhounds' first victory came in the fourth event when freshman Isabella Heitz placed first in the 50-yard freestyle in a time of 28.21. That was Heitz's first collegiate first-place finish. In the next event, the 200-yard IM, senior Bokey Wong edged out Hunter's swimmer by .01 with a time of 2:34.99. 

Heitz registered her second win of the day when she led the way in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:02.77. In the last event, 200-yard breaststroke exhibition, Wong once again placed first in a time of 2:58.23. 

The Bloodhounds host the College of New Rochelle on Tuesday, November 7, at 6:00 pm at the John Jay Pool.
