Aydan Damirova Earns All-METS Second Team In 100Y Breaststroke; Victoria Hapsis Receives The 2026 Dick Krempecki Award For Outstanding Senior Student-Athlete

New York, NY - On Monday, the Metropolitan Swimming and Diving Conference announced their All-Conference Teams.

John Jay freshman Aydan Damirova was named Second Team All-Conference in the 100 Breaststroke after her performance on Day Two of the 2026 METS Championship.

In addition, the Metropolitan Swimming and Diving Conference acknowledges two seniors: one male and one female, with the Dick Krempecki Outstanding Senior award to recognize service, leadership, and overall impact on a program. The nominations were submitted, then voted on by all coaches at the event, and this season's recipients were John Jay senior Victoria Hapsis and Daniel Vasilkoff of Baruch College.

Fresh off her All-Conference selections, Damirova paced the Bloodhounds with a silver and bronze medal in the 100Y and 200Y Breaststroke at this year's METS championship. The first-year Bloodhound turned in a season and personal-best time of 1:12.0 in the 100Y and a 2:43.58 in the 200Y.

Hapsis, who also received CUNYAC all-conference accolades, helped guide the Bloodhounds to four bronze medal finishes in the 400Y Medley Relay, 200Y Freestyle Relay, 200Y Medley Relay, and 400Y Freestyle Relay, and capped off her collegiate career with a second-place finish in the 200Y Freestyle. At METS, Hapsis swam in the 50Y Freestyle, touching the wall in 26.87 to place among the top-15 in the event.

Damirova and Hapsis competed as part of the 400Y Medley Relay squad that placed fifth overall with a season-best time of 4:36.81, and posted a season-best time of 2:03.83 in the 200Y Medley Relay.
