RESULTS
The women's swim team collected their first win of the season, 58-31, against the College of New Rochelle on Tuesday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Bloodhounds improve to 1-1 on the season. The Blue Angels drop to 2-3.
John Jay picked up the first seven points after junior
Mavis Ma, senior
Bokey Wong, freshman
Alexi Achtyl, and freshman
Isabella Heitz swam the 200-yard medley relay in 2:22.90. The Bloodhounds' first individual victory came in the 1000-yard freestyle when Ma finished in 14:06.92. Achtyl followed that up with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:18.02.
Heitz recorded her first individual win of the day when she swam the 50-yard freestyle in 28.84. In the fifth event, 200-yard IM, Wong placed first with a time of 2:45.46. Achtyl responded with her second individual win in the 100-yard butterfly (1:14.72). Ma, sophomore
Giovanna Jara, and Wong all picked up victories in the 100-yard backstroke, 500-yard freestyle, and 100-yard breaststroke, respectively.
The Bloodhounds return to CUNYAC action on Thursday, November 16, when they host Brooklyn College at 6:00 pm at the John Jay Pool.
