New York, NY - John Jay Interim Director of Athletics Brandon Fieland has announced that Siddeeq Ali's role within the John Jay Athletics Department has expanded to full-time Business Manager while being named pitching coach for the baseball team.
 
"This promotion reflects the tremendous impact Siddeeq has made with us and the energy he brings to our department every day," said Fieland. "I look forward to seeing how he will continue to put his stamp on our business operations. I also can't wait to see Siddeeq in the Bloodhound dugout, elevating our baseball program under the leadership of head coach Clemente Sosa." 
 
Ali, who is currently in the midst of his second season here at John Jay, will add to his duties as Business Manager as he will be the Department's Transportation Coordinator, in which he will be directly responsible for all travel accommodations for the Bloodhounds' 15 teams, as well as handling all coaches and athletic personnel staff professional development requests.

A former captain of the Mount Saint Vincent baseball team and four-year officer of the Sports Business Club at the Riverdale-based institution, Ali graduated with a degree in Sports Management in 2018.
