Tony Echeverria Finishes Tenth Overall To Pace Men's Cross Country At 2025 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships

Bronx, NY - Three members of the John Jay men's cross country team competed at the 2025 CUNYAC Men's Cross Country, held at the historic Van Cortlandt Park.
 
Sophomore Tony Echeverria led the way for the Bloodhounds, placing tenth overall, finishing with a personal-best time of 31:35.0. This marks the second straight year that Echeverria has finished among the top-14, earning his second straight All-Conference honor based on his performance. 

Luke Morton finished with a time of 43:13.7 while Robinson Correa clocked in with a time of 54.46.6.
 
Hunter won the team title, finishing with a total score of 28. Baruch was second with 45, followed by Brooklyn (78), CCNY (100), Medgar Evers (128), and Lehman (175). Jose Perez of Baruch won the individual crown, finishing with a time of 27:57.2. Hunter's Mateo Penafiel took second at 28:07.1 followed by teammate Brian Arias at 28:22.7.
