Bronx, NY - The John Jay men's cross country team was back in action on Sunday afternoon, as the Bloodhounds competed at the 2025 Queensborough Cross Country Invitational, held at Van Cortlandt Park, the site of the 2025 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships.
 
Tony Echerverria finished 52^nd overall with a time of 35:46.3 while teammate Luke Morton crossed the finish line in 45:57.8.
 
Merchant Marine was the top team, with 30 points. St. Joseph's University – Long Island was next followed by Farmingdale State. Queens College and Monroe University (NR) rounded out the top-five schools.
 
Monroe's Nkanyezi Ziqubu was the top finisher at 27:04.3. Luke Zweisler of Merchant Marine finished second while Boitshepo Mashilo from Monroe was third at 29:28.7.  
 
The Bloodhounds will gear up for a double dual meet against fellow CUNYAC members, CCNY and Hunter, on October 2. The race will commence from Central Park at 7:30 a.m.
