Trio Of Men's Cross Country Harriers Compete At Jasper Fall XC Invitational

Montgomery, NY - Three members of the John Jay men's cross country team competed at the Jasper Fall XC Invitational on Saturday morning.

John Hernandez was the top finisher for the Bloodhounds, finishing with a time of 30:12.4.Tony Echeverria was next for John Jay, crossing the finish line in 34:45.4 while newcomer Robinson Correra concluded the performances for the Bloodhounds (50:26.3).

Jackson Cayward of Siena won the individual title with a time of 24:33.2. Henry Didden of Bucknell was next with a time of 24:40.8, while Siena's Tyler Greene clocked in with a time of 24:41.8.

Bucknell took the team title with Siena placing second and Fordham rounding out the top three. Seton Hall and Rider closed out the top-five schools in the event.

NYU was the top non-Division I school to finish, placing ninth overall, while Marywood (12th overall), SUNY Delhi (15th overall), and Manhattanville (16th overall) rounded out the Non-Division I programs.

The Bloodhounds will compete in the first of two dual matches this season against their CUNYAC counterparts, CCNY. 

The two schools will race against one another on September 16 at 7:30 a.m. at Central Park.
