FLUSHING, NY - The men's tennis team dropped their final conference match of the season to Hunter College, 8-1, on Tuesday evening at the USTA National Tennis Center.
The Bloodhounds fall to 2-8 on the year and finish with a 2-3 CUNYAC record. The Hawks improve to 4-5 overall and finished the conference schedule with a 3-2 record.
At No. 2 singles, rookie
Davio Rossi-Levin dropped the first set but rebounded to even the score after winning the second, 6-2. In the third set, the Paris, France native came through with a 10-4 victory to earn John Jay's' lone win.
After the match, the Athletics Department honored seniors
Daniel Rosa and
Vladimir Ruzanov as part of Senior Night.
The Bloodhounds now gear up for the CUNYAC postseason. #4 John Jay will face top seed Baruch College on Sunday, April, 27, in the semifinals at the USTA NTC.
