John Jay Pool Reopens After Renovations

New York, NY - The John Jay College of Criminal Justice Athletics Department is excited to announce that, after being closed for more than two months, the John Jay Pool is once again open and ready to welcome back our vibrant community of swimmers, rental partners, and student-athletes.

Following necessary maintenance and repairs, the pool has been fully restored and is primed to provide a safe, high-quality aquatic experience for all users. The reopening marks a significant moment for our campus community, as the pool serves not only as a home for the John Jay swimming team but also as a hub for community programming, recreational use, and rentals.

"We are thrilled to reopen our pool doors to the community," said Michael Sporton, Associate Athletic Director for Facilities & Operations. "The past few months have been a challenge, but we are proud of the improvements made and excited to provide once again a space where our students, teams, and community members can come together."

The John Jay Pool is a cornerstone facility that supports a wide range of programming, from competitive collegiate athletics to youth swimming programs and community fitness. With its reopening, John Jay reaffirms its commitment to fostering wellness, inclusivity, and engagement both on campus and beyond.

Mondays & Wednesdays
10:00 AM to 12:00 PM; 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
ALL POOL LANES AVAILABLE

Tuesdays & Thursdays
9:00 AM to 12:00 PM | ALL POOL LANES AVAILABLE
1:00 PM to 3:00 PM | 2 Lanes Available
(30-minute Maximum Lap Swimming | Swims begin on every hour and half hour only! LIMITED SPOTS AVAILABLE
