Bronx, NY - The John Jay women's cross country team was back in action on Sunday afternoon, as the Bloodhounds competed at the 2025 Queensborough Cross Country Invitational, held at Van Cortlandt Park, the site of the 2025 CUNYAC Cross Country Championships.

Overall, the Bloodhounds placed 14th out of 20 teams that competed, posting a total time of 2:24.32 (28.54 average time).
Â
Monroe University (NR) was the top team, with 114 points, edging out Pratt Institute (117) and Felician (123). Merchant Marine Academy (126) and Sarah Lawrence (141) rounded out the top five schools.

Pratt's Coralie Norenberg took home individual honors with a time of 21:07.5. Monroe's Sarah Cohen was next at 21:45.7, followed by Baruch's Paz Moran at 21:52.9.

Leading the way for the Bloodhounds was
Maria Belov, who clocked in at 26:21.6.
Jennifer Herrera and
Skylah Nix were the next fastest at 28:08.9 and 28:09.1, respectively.

Kimberly Ramirez Tepoz crossed the finish line in 30:20.1, while Alexa Gomez finished in 31:33.1, and
Julia Murray posted a time of 31:48.3. Rounding out the finishes was
Elda Chavarria, who finished in 32:49.3.

The Bloodhounds will gear up for a double dual meet against fellow CUNYAC members, CCNY and Hunter, on October 2. The race will commence from Central Park at 7:30 a.m.Â
