Keyshawn Miller Named To CUNYAC First Team; Jamir Stewart Tabbed To Second Team; Adrian Kopec Earns Spot On Sportsmanship Team

New York, NY - The 2025-26 CUNYAC men's basketball all-conference teams and major award winners were announced on Thursday morning. The all-conference teams and award winners are voted upon by the league's head coaches.

John Jay had two all-conference selections with senior wing Keyshawn Miller named to the First Team while teammate Jamir Stewart earned Second Team honors. Fellow classmate Adrian Kopec landed a spot on the league's Sportsmanship Team.
 



Lehman's Amar Ndiaye was selected as the league's Player of the Year. York's Jonte Wallace was selected as Rookie of the Year, while Lehman's head coach Steven Schulman, was tabbed Coach of the Year. The 2026 Sportsmanship Award winner was Michael Bowman of CCNY.

Miller repeats as a First Team selection after being among the top five in several categories this season in the conference. The Yonkers, NY native averaged 15.7 points per game, ranking second in the league while filling up the stat sheet, tallying 8.3 rebounds a contest, good for third in the circuit and leading the CUNYAC in assists at 5.3 per game, steals at 3.2 a game, and minutes logged, averaging 36.5 a contest. In league-only games, Miller ranked fifth in scoring (14.8 ppg), rebounding (8.5 rpg), third in assists (5.1), and first in steals (2.8 spg). On a national scale, the senior wing ranked 20th overall in Division III in assists (135 total) and assists per game, while ranking in the top five in steals (83) and steals per game. His triple-double against Baruch was one of 20 this season on the men's side. In 23 of the 26 games in which Miller competed, he scored in double figures. He scored 20 or more points five times and reached new heights with a pair of 30-point outings, the last coming against Medgar Evers (Feb. 6). A two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week selection, he tallied seven double-doubles on the year, the last coming in John Jay's quarterfinal win on the road at York, an 18-point, 11-rebound performance. For his two-year John Jay career, Miller concludes playing in 54 games, scoring 829 points (15.4 ppg), while shooting 41.1 percent from the field, 32.0 percent from three-point range, collecting 438 rebounds (8.1 rpg), 211 assists (3.9 apg), 169 steals (3.1 spg) in 34.3 minutes a contest.

Stewart2ndTeam

A four-year stalwart of the Bloodhounds, Stewart garners a second-straight All-Conference selection, after being tabbed to the First Team a season ago. The Baldwin, NY native led the conference in scoring this season, netting 17.1 points per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the field (eighth best in CUNYAC) and converting 80.6 percent from the free-throw line (third-highest percentage in the conference). The senior guard finished fourth overall in three-point shooting, converting at a 35.9 percent clip and averaging 2.4 made three-pointers per contest, good for third overall. Stewart, a two-time Player of the Week selection in his career, became the 15th four-year Bloodhound to record 1,000 career points in a John Jay uniform when he accomplished the milestone on the road at NYU to close out 2025. This season, he scored in double figures in 25 of the 27 games he played, scoring 20 or more points 10 times, the last coming against York in the quarterfinals. For his collegiate career, Stewart finishes with 1,291 career points, 261 rebounds, 165 assists, 104 steals, and 192 made three-pointers.

AdrianKopecSportsmanship

Kopec earns a spot on the Sportsmanship Team after having a breakout senior season. Known as an efficient three-pointer shooter, the Staten Island, NY native elevated his game to new heights, setting career-highs in points (10.3 ppg), three-point field goals made (54), rebounds (128), assists (67), steals (17), blocks (4) and field goals made (100). Kopec ranked in the top-20 in scoring and rebounding while placing among the top-15 in assists, dishing out 2.8 a game. He had 15 games in which he scored in double-figures, highlighted by a career-best 24 points on 7 of 17 shooting from the field and 5 of 10 shooting from three-point range against York at home back on January 24. Kopec came within a rebound of his first-ever double-double against CCNY on Senior Day, finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds on 6 of 11 shooting.
