Keyshawn Miller Named To Third Team All-Met; Jamir Stewart Tabbed To Honorable Mention Team

Tarrytown, NY - For the second straight season, Keyshawn Miller and Jamir Stewart were recognized by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers' Association (MBWA) as Miller was tabbed to the Third Team while Stewart earned a spot on the Honorable Mention team.

Last season, both players earned a spot on the Second and Third teams, respectively. Miller and Stewart are now the only two-time All-Met selection in program history as they join Angel Rivera (2022 | Third Team), Doug Levy (2020 | First Team) and Jayson Brower (2020 | Third Team).

Zevi Samet of Yeshiva University was tabbed All-Met Division III Player of the Year while Justin Potts of Montclair State University was named Coach of the Year for the second time in the past four seasons.

Miller repeated as a CUNYAC First Team All-League performer this season finishing top five in multiple categories while averaging 15.7 points (2nd), 8.3 rebounds (3rd), and leading the CUNYAC in assists (5.3), steals (3.2), and minutes (36.5) per game. In league-only play, he ranked fifth in scoring and rebounding while placing third in assists and first in steals. Nationally, the senior wing finished 20th in Division III in total assists (135) and assists per game, while ranking top five in steals (83) and steals per game. Miller recorded double figures in 23 of 26 games, produced five 20-point outings, two 30-point performances, seven double-doubles, and one of just 20 triple-doubles in Division III this season. A two-time CUNYAC Player of the Week, he closed his two-year John Jay career with 829 points (15.4 ppg), 438 rebounds (8.1 rpg), 211 assists, and 169 steals across 54 games.

Stewart led CUNYAC in scoring at 17.1 points per game while shooting 40.6 percent from the field and 80.6 percent from the free-throw line. The senior guard also ranked fourth in three-point percentage (35.9) and third in made threes per game (2.4). Stewart scored in double figures in 25 of 27 contests, recorded 10 games of 20 or more points, and reached the 1,000-point milestone earlier this season, becoming the 15th four-year Bloodhound to do so. A two-time Player of the Week, he concluded his career with 1,291 points, 261 rebounds, 165 assists, 104 steals, and 192 three-pointers.
