The women's swimming team lost to Baruch College, 56-37, on Friday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Bloodhounds drop to 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bearcats improve to 3-3 overall and 2-0 in the conference. 

The Bloodhounds first win came in the sixth event, the 100-yard butterfly, when freshman Bokey Wong placed first with a time of 1:08.57. Wong then finished first in the 500-yard freestyle in a time of 6:24.46.

John Jay's next first place finish was in the 100-yard breststroke when junior Kaylie Bruce finished in 1:29.78. In the final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay, freshman Melissa Cornelio, Wong, Bruce, and sophomore Alyssa DeVito placed first in 2:01.06. 

The Bloodhounds host St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Friday, January 9, at 6pm at the John Jay Pool.
