Women's Swimming Loses to Staten Island

MEET RESULTS

The women's swim team fell to the College of Staten Island, 57-37, on Tuesday evening at the John Jay Pool. The Bloodhounds drop to 2-4 on the season and 1-2 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Dolphins improve to 2-4 overall and 2-1 in the conference. 

John Jay recorded three first-place individual finishes. Freshman Heather Chrisman picked up wins in the 1000-yard freestyle (12:28.09) and the 100-yard breaststroke (1:15.46). Sophomore Bokey Wong place first in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:13.78. 

Wong also registered a second-place finish and senior Kaylie Bruce finished second in the 200-yard IM (2:47.52) and the 100-yard backstroke (1:17.57). 

In the final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay, the tandem of Bruce, freshman Lin Wei Ma, Wong, and Chrisman picked up seven points after finishing first with a time of 1:57.63.

The Bloodhounds travel to Baruch College on Tuesday, December 8, for a conference match at 6:00 pm.
