Box Score The #5 men's tennis team upset #4 Brooklyn College, 5-2, on Friday afternoon in Brooklyn, NY. The Bloodhounds improve to 6-9 on the season. The Bulldogs end their season with a 6-9 overall record.
Brooklyn got on the board first in #3 doubles but John Jay fought back to take the other two doubles matches to lead 2-1. The duo of senior

Luis Chirinos and
Kelvin Rodriguez were victorious in the number two spot in a back-and-forth set, 8-6.
Brooklyn evened the score at two apiece after taking #6 singles. Remennik then cruised to a 6-4, 6-2 victory to give the Bloodhounds a 3-2 lead. Senior
Kelvin Rodriguez overcame a deficit to win in the fourth spot, 4-6, 6-1, 6-0. John Jay sealed the victory when one of Brooklyn's players was forced to retire.
"Assistant Coach Hogh and I told the team that if they gave 100%, they had a chance to upset Brooklyn," head coach
Chris Widney said. "Today they gave 100% and we are very proud of their effort."
