The women's swim team lost to Baruch College, 94-85, on Friday evening on the campus of Baruch College. The Bloodhounds drop to 3-7 on the season and 1-4 in the CUNY Athletic Conference. The Bearcats improve to 5-5 and 4-1 in the conference.
Heather Chrisman finished in first in the 800-meter freestyle with a time of 11:00.38. The freshman also recorded a second-place finish in the 400-meter freestyle (5:11.42). Freshman
Lin Wei Ma placed second in both the 100-meter butterfly (1:31.60) and 100-meter breaststroke (1:50.42). Senior
Kaylie Bruce picked up a second-place finish in the 100-meter backstroke in 1:28.38.
In the final event, the tandem of Bruce, senior
Andrea Antoni, sophomore
Diana Rodriguez, and Chrisman swam the 200-meter freestyle relay in 2:19.58.
The Bloodhounds return to the John Jay Pool when they host Brooklyn College on Wednesday, January 27, at 6:00 pm. Prior to the meet, the Athletics Department will honor one senior,
Andrea Antoni, who is participating in her final regular season home meet.
