Women's Swim Ends Regular Season with Tri-Meet Split

The women's swim team concluded their 2016-17 regular season with a tri-meet split in New Rochelle, NY. The Bloodhounds defeated the College of New Rochelle, 86-83, and then fell to Cedar Crest College, 120-61. John Jay ends the season with an overall record of 2-8. 

The Bloodhounds' only individual first-place finish came in the sixth event, the 100-yard butterfly, when junior Diana Rodriguez swam in 1:12.49. In the final event of the meet, the relay tandem of freshman Sol Astudillo, sophomore Tania Yanez, sophomore Ciara Romero, and junior Christina Parthenis placed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:26.34. 

John Jay will now gear up for the CUNYAC championships on Friday, January 27 through Sunday, January 29 at Lehman College.
