Kings Park, NY - For the second straight meet, the John Jay men's cross country program finished among the top-ten schools, as the Bloodhounds concluded the meet in eighth place out of 26 schools that competed in Saturday morning's run.
Monroe College (New Rochelle) Karim Belmahdi was the top overall finisher, crossing the finish line in 26:14.4. Matt Lopez from the host Golden Eagles was next at 26:34.1 while New Paltz Oliver Melara-Perez was third with a time of 27:17.5
Leading the way for John Jay this morning was
Jack Treacher, who turned in a top-20 individual finish by clocking in at 29:19.7 (5:54.0 avg. mile) for a 17th-place showing. Treacher's time in the 8K run this morning is his fastest of the season.
Teammate
John Hernandez posted a time of 29:44.1 (5:58.9 avg. mile) to finish in 21st place, which is his best time to date in an 8K race.
