Men's Cross Country Participates At Lehigh Paul Short Run On Saturday

Bethlehem, PA - The John Jay men's cross country team raced at the 50th Annual Paul Short Run, hosted by Lehigh University at the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.

In the Men's College Green Race, the Bloodhounds finished 21st out of 24 teams. Lakdar Layachi was the top finisher for John Jay, crossing the finish line in 32:36.5. Fellow newcomer Tony Echeverria was next, turning in a season-best time of 32:46.8.

Veteran harrier Alejandro Animas turned in a finals time of 33:28.8.

Rounding out the performances were Louis DeSario (37:27.0), Evan Hernandez (41:13.1) and Matthew Rodriguez (41:51.3).

The Bloodhounds will be back on the course on Saturday, October 12 as they will compete at the NJIT Highlander Invitational.

The race commences at 1:00 p.m. from Branch Brook Park.
