New York, NY – In the early portion of Tuesday morning, the John Jay men's cross country team raced against their fellow CUNYAC member, CCNY, in historic Central Park.
The Bloodhounds took the top three spots, led by freshmen
Lakdar Layachi and
Tony Echeverria while senior
Alejandro Animas was third. Layachi posted a time of 20:35. Echeverria was next at 20:36. Animas was four seconds off the pace at 20:40.
Louis DeSario finished the race in 23:42 for a seventh-place finish.
John Jay will gear up for the NJIT Highlander Invitational, set for Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from the Branch Brook Park in Newark, NJ.
