Keyshawn Miller Earns Second Straight CUNYAC Men's Basketball Player Of The Week Honor

Flushing, NY - John Jay men's basketball junior wing Keyshawn Miller garnered his second straight CUNYAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday afternoon.
 


Miller continues to be a key cog in the Bloodhounds' offense. Leading the Bloodhounds to a 2-0 week, which included their first conference victory of the season, the Yonkers, NY native poured in 19.0 points per game while shooting a robust 59.1 percent from the field in 29.2 minutes per contest. He shot 54.5 percent from three-point range, grabbed 7.5 rebounds, dished out 3.0 assists, and tallied 3.0 steals.

In the first game of the week at St. Joseph's University - Brooklyn, Miller finished with 12 points on 4 of 8 shooting from the field while grabbing six boards and recording three steals.

Miller and the Bloodhounds found a groove in his first CUNYAC contest at Brooklyn on Friday. Logging 36 minutes of action, Miller produced his third 20-point outing, going for a new career-high of 26 points while converting on 9 of 14 from the floor.

He was one of two Bloodhounds to pour in six three-pointers (Jeremiah Cardi was the other), as John Jay hit 17 total three-pointers on the night. The former Saunders standout was a rebound shy of a double-double while dishing out five assists and swiping three steals.

Through games played on December 7, he ranks sixth in all of NCAA Division III in total steals (30), 21st in steals per game (3.0), and 55th in the nation in total rebounds (74).

Miller and the rest of the Bloodhounds are back in action on Tuesday, December 10, as they welcome the St. Joseph's University - Long Island Golden Eagles to The Doghouse at 7:00 p.m.
