New York, NY - The John Jay women's swimming team defeated the visiting Cedar Crest Falcons, 59-36, on Thursday evening from the John Jay Pool.

With the win, the Bloodhounds move to 1-3 on the season while the Falcons fall to 1-5.

John Jay won seven events on the evening, which included both relay events. In the 200Y Medley Relay, the quartet of Victoria Hapsis, Aydan Damirova, Luciana Uriarte, and Brianna Torres touched the wall in 2:11.61.
 
The tandem of Julia Murray, Nutsa Prangishvili, Salem Williams, and Grace Driver finished in 2:13.00. Torres took first in the 200Y Freestyle with a time of 2:19.54. Damirova finished first in the 200Y IM with a finals time of 2:39.68. Prangishvili finished with a time of 1:20.03 in the 100Y Fly, outpacing the second competitor by .70
 
Hapsis finished first in the 100Y Back, posting a time of 1:14.86. Damirova tied Rylie Heusner with a time of 1:15.15.  The 200Y Freestyle Relay, made up of Murray, Prangisvili, Williams, and Driver finished at 2:13.00.
 
The Bloodhounds will host Brooklyn College as part of Homecoming on Friday, November 21 at 6:30 p.m.
