New York, NY - In their final meet of 2025, the John Jay women's swim team fell to the Baruch College Bearcats, 60-34, in CUNYAC action on Thursday evening.
Aydan Damirova had one first-place finish and a second-place finish on the evening, as she touched the wall in the 100Y Breaststroke in 1:18.12. She finished second in the 200Y IM with a time of 2:35.35.
The 200Y Medley relay, composed of
Jaylene Sepulveda,
Kira Englenton,
Salem Williams, and Giuliana Atencio, posted a time of 2:24.17.
Grace Driver and
Julia Murray lowered their season totals as Driver finished the 1000Y Freestyle in 14:29.48 while Murray posted a season-best 14:57.84
Victoria Hapsis also trimmed off a minute in the 200Y Freestyle, finishing second with a time of 2:14.90. She also set a new season-low with a time of 1:00.12 in the 100Y Free.
Luciana Uriarte took second in the 50Y Freestyle, clocking in at 29.28, while
Nutsa Prangishvili turned in a finals time of 32.35. In the 100Y Fly, Uriarte finished second with a time of 1:14.23 while Prangishvili finished in 1:19.39, a new season-best.
Sepulveda lowered her season total in the 100Y Back, finishing at 1:34.72.
The 200Y Freestyle Relay, composed of
Brianna Torres, Damirova, Uriarte, and Hapsis, posted a first-place finish with a time of 1:54.40.
The Bloodhounds return to the pool in 2026 as they will compete at the Merchant Marine Academy Tri-Meet against the host Mariners and fellow CUNYAC foe, Hunter, on January 6.
