Danbury, CT - John Jay women's basketball junior forward
Michaela Lattimore added another major honor to her resume, as the Morristown, NJ native was named First Team All-ECAC, the league announced on Wednesday morning.
Â
Lattimore becomes the fourth Bloodhound in program history to receive honors from the ECAC, joining John Jay Hall of Famer Jamecia Forsythe (2012-13 & 2013-14 All-ECAC First Team), Katie Healy (2022-23 All-ECAC First Team; 2023-24 All-ECAC Second Team), and
Ashley Zeolla (2025-26 All-ECAC Second Team).
The junior forward, who was named to the CUNYAC First Team for the second straight season, averaged a team-leading 15.6 points per game and 14.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 48.5 percent from the field across 26 starts. Lattimore recorded 23 double-doubles for the season, including an active streak of 20 consecutive dating from November 29 through the end of the season at Brooklyn in the CUNYAC semifinals, where she delivered a career-high 30 points, 22-rebound performance. At season's end, she ranked third in all of Division III women's basketball with 23 double-doubles, trailing only Mary Schieusner of Washington and Lee (29) and Elyse Warren of Millsaps (24).Â
She scored in double figures in 24 of 26 games and grabbed double-digit rebounds in 25 of 26 games.
Lattimore was equally disruptive on the defensive end, as she posted a season-high five blocks against CCNY (Feb. 14) and five steals versus UMSV (Jan. 3). She increased her offensive game as well, tallying four assists on multiple occasions.
The rising senior forward has elevated her production after scoring 6.7 points and 6.2 rebounds in 19 games during her freshman year to starting all 27 games in 2024-25 while netting 14.8 points and 10.1 rebounds, and this season, increasing those totals to 15.6 points per game and 14.8 rebounds. She stands at 933 career points and 775 career rebounds while recording 78 blocks and 80 steals.
