Women's Swimming John Jay Sports Information

Four John Jay Women's Swimmers Named To 2024-25 Academic All-District Team, Selected By College Sports Communicators

New York, NY - The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's Swimming & Diving Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.

The John Jay women's swim had four student-athletes named to the Academic All-District Team - Grace Driver, Gloria Glenn, Luciana Uriarte, and Rina Yamamoto.
 



This marks Yamamoto's and Glenn's second straight CSC Academic All-District Team selection, while Drive and Uriarte earn their first accolade.

With the quartet's selection, John Jay has a total of 18 student-athletes named to the CSC Academic All-District Team thus far in 2024-25 as join:

  • Reilly Catan, Women's Volleyball
  • Kristin Gretener, Women's Volleyball
  • Malia Reyes, Women's Volleyball
  • Meghan Smith, Women's Volleyball
  • Essence Richardson, Women's Basketball
  • Natalie Simonds, Women's Basketball
  • Ashley Zeolla, Women's Basketball

The Bloodhounds led the way with four selections. Brooklyn College had three recipients (Anastasia Kutzov, Sydney Gdanski, Hailey Jonston), while Baruch had one (Kirsten Zhou).

Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second-, and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April
22, 2025 (women) and April 23, 2025 (men).


The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
