Samir Ghimire And Davio Rossilevin Named To 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team

New York, NY - The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's Tennis, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
 


Two members of the John Jay men's tennis team were named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District® team. Samir Ghimire and Davio Rossilevin were named to the CSC Academic All-District Team, with both earning their third and second straight CSC Academic All-District Team selections. Rossilevin earned the honor for men's soccer as well

With the duo being named to the Academic All-District Team, John Jay has a total of 21 student-athletes named to the CSC Academic All-District Team this year, as they join:

  • Ian Hartigan, Men's Soccer
  • Karl Menuau, Men's Soccer
  • Charlie Metz, Men's Soccer
  • Davio Rossilvein, Men's Soccer
  • Sofia Astarbi, Women's Soccer

Albertus Magnus led the way with four selections (Eric Chamandy, Peter Keese, Zane Kindrachuk, Bailey Kirwin) while Baruch (Phillipp Roeder and Anlact Huynh) and John Jay each had two selections. Brooklyn College (Allen Mardakhayev) and Hunter (Savio Francis) each had one selection.
 
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on June 3, 2026

The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2025-26 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
